Chart above illustrates effect of bullet seating depth on chamber pressure. Three shots each at two different seating depths. Bullets seated nearer the lands increased the chamber pressure. They also caused the peak pressure point to occur earlier.

PressureTrace II captures the changes in pressure, inside your firing chamber, in real time, and displays the pressure curve on a personal computer. This has been done before, but at a cost that puts it out of the reach of most reloaders. Others have taken a more economical approach by capturing only peak firing chamber pressures and sacrificing the ability to observe minute changes in the shape of the pressure curve. Peak pressure alone is of little real diagnostic value. By viewing the ENTIRE pressure curve shooters can compare the total energy delivered by a load, the rise time to peak pressure, affects of bullet seating depth and more to help analyze optimum loads or the source of problems.

PressureTrace II gives you the ability to observe all the pressure changes that happen during firing, with easy portability, at a cost similar to what you would pay for a good chronograph.
