Not sure what the benefits are? Read what the testers had to say.

The ability to give each shot string a descriptive name is a huge help. It's a lot easier to understand "233Rem with 50gr Nosler over 25gr H335" or "308 load that Jack wanted to chronograph" than it is to remember what "7" means a couple of days later. J.A.

I keep notes while I'm at the range so I know which shot string in Chrony memory belongs with which load. Even though I do that, I can still make the mistake of selecting the wrong shot string which causes me to overwrite (and lose) data. If you've got the Chrony configured for Auto Save, it gets even worse. Goodbye paper notes! Goodbye confusion! O.N.

Sometimes I shoot 5 shot strings, sometimes 10 shot. I can never find the Chrony instructions when I want to reconfigure it. Besides, it always takes me 5 minutes to figure out how to follow the instructions. With your program I can just ignore how the Chrony is configured and the program keeps it sorted out for me. C.P.

By mistake I fired a shot from a different load in the middle of my shot string. I just edited the string and deleted that shot. I then switched to the string where it belonged and put the value in. No problems. C.M.

I was in the middle of a shot string when I got sidetracked. By the time I was ready to finish, the light had gone and I couldn't shoot anymore. I came back the next morning, selected the string I had been using and fired the rest of the shots. It was just like there had never been an interruption and I didn't get the shots mixed up with a different string because the shot string name makes that impossible. T.A.

I used the ChronoCapPC program to save Excel spreadsheets of all the strings I shot. I tried the "text file" reports too. Since I've got Excel, I'll definitely be doing it that way. Either way, I won't need to keep all those notebooks around anymore. C.M.

I've got a Palm IIIxe that I've been wondering how to use. M.W.

** The Beta and Gamma Shooting Chrony (and the Master versions) have a serial port. As of January 2000, the Alpha Chrony and F1 models have a printer port. They all function with ChronoCap.
