Shooting Chrony to Palm RS232 Adapter

You can easily build this adapter from parts available at Radio Shack.  As with all "homebrew" electronics, there are no guarantees.  You're on your own if you fry a serial port or your Chrony.

This adapter does not connect a PC to the Shooting ChronyThe transistors are 2N3904.  The diodes are 1N914.  The DB9-M connector plugs right into the serial HotSync cable from my cradle.  You are stealing some power from the Palm batteries with this setup.  You might consider a 6 volt battery (5 volts may work just fine) instead of connecting to pin 6 of the DB9 connector.
